Our partner, on the ground responding to the urgent needs of refugees in Lebanon.
What happened to the camp?
The fire was raging. People tried to extinguish the fire as quickly as possible.
They start rescuing the children from the camp, as the tents are beginning to be consumed by the flames.
People fled into the streets, displacing the women and children from the men. They ran barefoot through the streets. Do they have nothing to mention, not even to wear something with them.
Today they will sleep under the trees until help
Mothers have sad stories, there are crying children who do not even have milk or diapers, the elderly have left the medicine and fled from the flames. People have taken refuge in other tents. Their sanitary and living conditions are very poor, they have no carpets, no mat to stay on, no blankets, blankets, pillows, underwear, food, medicine.
